ZENVIKO PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Zenviko operates this online store and its related services (the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you browse our store, place an order or contact us. Where consent is required, we will ask for it separately; using our website does not by itself give consent to marketing or advertising tracking.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Zenviko is the trading name of Solomon Muchangi, who is the data controller for the personal information processed for this business.

You can contact us at shopzenviko@gmail.com or write to the business correspondence address under CONTACT.

Shopify is separately responsible for certain processing described under RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT OR PROCESS

Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may process:

- Contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order and transaction details, including products purchased, payment status, payment references, delivery information, cancellations, returns and refunds.
- Payment information processed through Shopify and the relevant payment provider.
- Account details, login identifiers and preferences, if you create or use a customer account.
- Information you provide in messages, reviews or customer-support requests.
- Device and connection information, such as your IP address, browser and device identifiers.
- Information about how you use the store, including browsing activity and cookie or advertising preferences, where permitted by law.

Please do not send full payment-card details, card security codes or passwords to us by email.

PERSONAL INFORMATION SOURCES

We collect personal information:

- Directly from you when you browse, order, use an account, leave a review or contact us.
- Through our website and cookies or similar technologies, subject to applicable consent requirements.
- From Shopify, payment providers and other service providers supporting the store.
- From fulfilment suppliers and delivery providers, for example order-status and tracking information.
- From advertising partners where those services are used and the relevant legal requirements are met.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

- Process payments, fulfil orders and arrange delivery.
- Manage accounts, cancellations, returns, refunds and customer enquiries.
- Send service messages, such as order confirmations and delivery updates.
- Maintain and improve the store and understand how it is used.
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud and keep the Services secure.
- Send marketing or provide personalised advertising where permitted and in accordance with your choices.
- Meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

Our use of information depends on the services you use and the features enabled on our store.

UK LAWFUL BASES FOR PROCESSING

Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following lawful bases:

- Contract: processing necessary to take steps at your request before a purchase or fulfil our contract with you, including payment, delivery, order support and returns.
- Legal obligation: maintaining required records and complying with applicable legal, accounting and tax duties.
- Legitimate interests: necessary and proportionate processing to protect our business and customers, prevent fraud, handle general enquiries, improve our service and establish or defend legal claims. We consider your rights and interests when relying on this basis.
- Consent: processing where consent is required, including advertising cookies and relevant marketing activities. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Where we lawfully use the existing-customer marketing exception described below, our UK GDPR basis is our legitimate interest in promoting our own similar products. This does not override the separate rules on electronic marketing or cookies.

MARKETING, COOKIES AND YOUR CHOICES

We send promotional emails or text messages only with the required consent, or where a lawful existing-customer exception applies.

For that exception, we must have obtained your details directly during a purchase or negotiations for a purchase, market only our own similar products, and give you a clear opportunity to opt out both when collecting your details and in every marketing message.

You can unsubscribe using the option in our marketing messages or email shopzenviko@gmail.com. We may still send necessary service messages about your orders.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store. Advertising tracking requires your consent. Other technologies are used only where consent has been obtained or a legal exemption applies.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie choices through the store's cookie-preference controls.

YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT TO DIRECT MARKETING

You can object at any time to the use of your personal information for direct marketing. If you object, we will stop using it for that purpose.

HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share information with:

- Shopify, which hosts and supports the store.
- Payment providers, IT providers and other services supporting our operations.
- Fulfilment suppliers and delivery providers, to prepare and deliver your order or handle returns.
- Advertising or marketing partners where those services are used, subject to applicable consent requirements and your choices.
- Professional advisers, authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
- Parties involved in a possible sale or reorganisation of the business, where permitted by law and with appropriate protections.

We share information relevant to the purpose involved. Suppliers receiving order details for fulfilment are not being authorised by us to use those details for unrelated marketing.

RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Shopify collects and processes information about your use of the Services to provide and improve its platform. Information submitted to our store is shared with Shopify and relevant service providers, which may be located outside the UK.

We use certain enhanced Shopify features that can combine information about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to help protect, grow and improve our business.

For processing carried out by Shopify for its own enhanced-service purposes, Shopify is separately responsible for responding to requests relating to that processing.

Details of Shopify's processing and your rights are available in the "Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy" (https://www.shopify.com/uk/legal/privacy/consumers).

You can also use "Shopify's Privacy Portal" (https://privacy.shopify.com/).

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND LINKS

Our store may link to websites or services operated by other organisations. Their privacy policies apply to their own collection and use of your information.

Please review their policies before providing personal information. Including a link does not by itself mean we endorse that website or control its privacy practices.

Information you choose to publish in a review or other public area may be visible to other people.

CHILDREN'S DATA

Our Services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact shopzenviko@gmail.com so we can assess and address the matter.

SECURITY AND RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

We seek to protect personal information using appropriate technical and organisational measures. No system can guarantee complete security.

We keep information only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. We determine retention by considering:

- Whether an account or order remains active.
- Applicable legal, accounting and tax record-keeping requirements.
- Outstanding returns, complaints, disputes or legal claims.
- Whether marketing consent remains valid or another lawful marketing basis applies.
- The need to retain minimal suppression information so that we respect requests not to receive marketing.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it, subject to applicable obligations and the functions of our service providers.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may have rights to:

- Access your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion.
- Restrict processing.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.

Your separate right to object to direct marketing is explained above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, email shopzenviko@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal deadlines.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Some requests may be limited by legal exceptions, such as obligations to retain particular transaction records.

For processing controlled separately by Shopify, you can also use its Privacy Portal.

COMPLAINTS

You can raise a data protection complaint by emailing shopzenviko@gmail.com or writing to the address under CONTACT.

We will acknowledge receipt within 30 days, investigate appropriately without undue delay, keep you informed and tell you the outcome without undue delay.

Complaint handling and requests to exercise your data protection rights follow their respective legal deadlines.

You also have the right to complain to the "UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)" (https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/).

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Shopify and some suppliers or service providers may process information outside the UK.

Where a transfer is subject to UK international-transfer restrictions, we will make it only where the law permits, including through an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards such as approved contractual protections.

Where EEA transfer rules apply, the relevant recognised transfer mechanisms will also be used.

You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy where available.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services or legal obligations.

We will publish the revised policy, update the date above and notify you of material changes where required by law.
